Our Program

We follow a multi-disciplinary approach. Our team consists of Respiratory Therapists, Physical Therapists, a Medical Director, and a Social worker who will assess your needs and work together with your doctor to create a program tailored for your success.

This program includes exercises and breathing techniques to help improve function and stamina, and strategies to manage your symptoms effectively. Patients experience great improvements in their quality of life, independence, and activities of daily living.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapists teach patients how to prevent or manage their condition to achieve long-term health benefits. They examine each individual and develop a plan, using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.

Learning to Function

Plumonary Rehab patients will learn to:

  • Reduce and control breathing difficulties with proper breathing techniques
  • Understand their medical condition, treatment options, and strategies for managing their symptoms
  • Reduce dependence on hospitalization
  • Maintain healthy behaviors such as smoking cessation, good nutrition, stress management, and exercise
  • Conserve energy with pacing and planning

Social Services

Our Licensed Clinical Social Worker is available to help patients cope with the emotional distress caused by and unexpected injury or chronic illness. Our social worker can also advise the patient of other resources available to them.
